All of this can be experienced from the capital Oranjestad with its heavy Dutch influences. The closet beaches to the capital are Surfside Beach and Druif Beach both with soft white sand.Aruba is a mecca for American tourist and beach holidays. Ships moor at the quayside and it is a short walk into town.
