The city and port of Venice will showcase the seventh Seatrade Mediterranean Cruise & Ferry Convention from 9-11 December 2008.
Following six successful events from 1996 to 2006, Seatrade Med will move to the new venue next year to feature the very best that the cruise and ferry sectors have to offer.
It will offer major conference sessions on the dominance of the cruise industry in the Mediterranean, combined with the outlook for the ferry industry in these competitive waters.
As well as being the second largest cruise market in the world, the Med has seen its ferry traffic witness steady growth over the last couple of years with new routes and ferries on international and domestic Italian routes.
Chris Hayman, managing director of management company Seatrade, said: “We are looking forward to working with Venice Passenger Terminal to make Seatrade Med 2008 a truly memorable event. The decision to hold it in Venice will enable attendees to see and become familiar with one of the areas great and most spectacular port cities.”
