Saga is offering to refund the cost of an overnight stay aboard Saga Sapphire in May when guests go on to book a 2015 cruise by 31 August.
The offer is designed to attract ‘new to cruise’ customers who would like to try a cruise experience but are hesitant about committing to a longer voyage. It is also suited to customers who have sailed with other cruise lines but are unsure how the Saga Cruise experience compares.
The over-50s company is offering guests the opportunity to experience an overnight stay on Saga Sapphire while she is docked in the Port of Dover on 29 May.
Once on-board, guests will be shown to their en-suite cabin and can enjoy an afternoon tea experience, a popular cruising tradition with home-made treats including scones with lashings of jam and cream, all served with a choice of teas.
Guests will then be able to stretch their legs by taking a tour of the ship, visiting the British seaside-themed pool area complete with ice-cream machine, old-fashioned sweet shop and nearby crazy golf. Inside the ship there are the comfortable lounges with travel-themed décor, a well-stocked library, a shop, gym, spa and beauty salon.
A cocktail party will kick off the evening in style so guests can meet other like-minded new-to-cruisers and the crew to find out more about life on board 700-passenger Saga Sapphire.
Dinner will be a five-course menu, with impeccable service in the attractive Pole to Pole dining room where tables are laid with traditional white linen.
There will be dazzling entertainment in the Britannia Lounge and a warm welcome in any of the bars including Cooper’s with its comedy theme décor or Aviators which celebrates the great pioneers of aviation.
Guests will then be able to have a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed with crisp linen bedding and wake up ready for a breakfast with a choice of a buffet or restaurant service.
Free car parking is offered as part of this overnight offer which is priced from £139 per person, with options to upgrade to a superior cabin, balcony cabin or suite. Customers cam book by phoning 0800 015 6983.
Customers who go on to book a 2015 cruise with Saga by 31 August will have the cost of their overnight stay deducted from the price of the new booking.
