This cruise was a holiday of a life time. It wasn’t cheap but for the destination this was to be expected. The cruise around the Galapagos was the cruise that constantly gave. The ship was small, about 100 people, which for the conservation of the area was essential. We did a morning and and afternoon excursion, all included in price. Each excursion (bar one) we needed to disembark onto a zodiac, and either had a wet or dry landing. The first excursion we were met by the locals(baby sea lions), hurrying along the beach to meet us. It was magical. We had the option to snorkel or wander along the beach to take photos of the wildlife and scenery. Sitting on the beach you saw Sallylightfoot crabs, iguanas, various birds. Each island has its unique wildlife from giant turtles to flamingoes.
The food on the cruise was excellent and it was early to bed most night because of the action packed days. We did have a crossing the equator party and a night dining under the stars. The entertainment that night was a pod of dolphins amazing. I’d recommend anyone that loves wildlife rather than wild nights to consider this cruise. We extended our holiday through the company to a week traveling around the Machu Picchu region, travelling by coach and train, (Orient express) which finished our holiday. Fantastic
