We had a wonderful time on the cruise and felt quite forgiving about some of the shortfalls due to the Covid situation creating such havoc to the cruise/travel industry. The ship definitely needed some tlc but obviously there was no funding for updates. On the whole the crew did an amazing job. It was a 5 night mini cruise to Hamburg and Cherbourg which was a really good itinerary. It was a bit of a shambles waiting to depart the ship in Hamburg as there was a delay at the port but the Captain had everyone queuing to get off which caused frustration and was unnecessary. I think the most disappointing element was that Cunard only gave world club members half a bottle of fizz. It was somewhat paltry and wouldn’t have broken the bank.
On day 1 arrival we tripped over trays left on the floor outside the cabins where people were self isolating. This was poor, throughout the cruise these trays were constantly left out for a very long time before being taken away.
