Borealis, Mediterranean
5
We are regular Fred cruisers, but this was our first time on Borealis. Nice ship, not overcrowded, lovely public spaces, good outside cabin (apart from shower temperature which was WAY too hot, even on lowest setting). Food delicious, entertainment very good, staff as good as ever on Fred Olsen ships. Only disappointment - and cannot blame Fred for this - was excursion to Floriade in Amsterdam. Not what we expected - we hadn't assumed it would be a garden show, but we did expect more colourful plants on display. Bit sterile and overly earnest, to be honest. We couldn't get booked on the excursion we wanted in Belgium, so stayed onboard that day Highlight for us was City of Bayeaux, obviously the tapestry being the focus of this trip. Honfleur, where we docked, is also lovely.
We will be back soon with Fred (hope embarkation will be a bit smoother than this time!)
