This was our first cruise with Cunard and we were keen to compare it with the other 10 cruises we had enjoyed. We got a surprisingly good price and wondered why this was!
Every part of the cruise was first class and was exactly what we were looking for.
The cruise started with 3 sea days and this was readily used to find our way around, find the games and tuition in bridge for my wife and table tennis for me.
The food was very good, loved the ceremony of afternoon tea and always indulged in the late night snacks. You do not have to eat too much on a cruise - just eat sensibly.
Staff members were always polite, helpful & ready for a bit of banter. Entertainment was of a high standard - at one stage there were 3 pianists giving daily stints.
Downside? The info provided about the ports was not too good. Just a map is not enough. Just a lecture presentation was below expectation.
We like to go ashore & find our own way around; thus shore excursions have not been assessed

I love the formality of this cruise line, dressing for dinner etc. Only wish there was a more open style of dining which is only available to club balcony grade and above

The cruise was a 'follow the sun' cruise. We sailed to the Bay of Biscay and went up and down several times. Dinner each night was exemplary as was the entertainment. The lack of a buffet was the rea...
