We have used Celebrity cruises for many years and found them excellent. However our recent cruise to Spain and France was far from satisfactory.
We arrived at Southampton after driving 200 miles from the North Midlands and was told we could not park our car as there was a backlog. Then being less mobile I waited 45 minutes to board the ship. As our boarding time was 2-2.30 pm we had missed lunch. We being older people could not use the Celebrity X App so we were at a disadvantaage from the start.
All the excursions suitable for the less mobile had been booked up so had to stay aboard ship most shore days.
The dinning was awful. Some of the staff in the main resturant had a poor command of English. At breakfast we were seated in a corner where the service was very poor. At dinner I asked if I could replace the rice with chips and was told they had not got any chips. The food portions were very small and I was left hungry after the evening meal.
