Queen Mary 2

Solo cruising on the QM2 Transatlantic Crossing. As always the QM2 didn't disappoint it's passengers with high quality food, entertainment, clean public rooms and staterooms plus excellent White Star Service.

I travelled on this cruise alone but found it very easy to make new friends.  The 'singles' get together held daily introduced you to other single passengers and the 'dance' hosts were in attendance for those who wished to dance nightly in the Queen's Room.  With so much to do there was no time to worry about being alone.  I would thoroughly recommend the Transatlantic Cruise to single passengers.

Flying to New York was with Virgin Atlantic with Economy Delight seats which have an extra 12 inches legroom. The Cunard representative greeted passengers and took us directly by transfer to the ship. The 'sailaway' was amazing seeing the skyline of New York and passing the Statue of Liberty before heading under the famous Verrazzano bridge with a few metres to spare!  Then off towards the Atlantic ...........

If you want to do the Transatlantic Crossing in style chose Cunard!  I am glad I did this cruise, would I do it again certainly YES!

I love the formality of this cruise line, dressing for dinner etc. Only wish there was a more open style of dining which is only available to club balcony grade and above

The cruise was a 'follow the sun' cruise. We sailed to the Bay of Biscay and went up and down several times. Dinner each night was exemplary as was the entertainment. The lack of a buffet was the rea...
