Celebrity Silhouette, UK and Ireland

We were lucky to be onboard the first sailing of the refurbished Silhouette from Southampton. Bearing in mind that we were still in the midst of the pandemic, everyone onboard was double vaccinated, everyone wore masks inside. Only passengers were able to take off their masks when dining or drinking.
The first couple of nights were a little clunky in the MDR any time seating in the way of initial seating, but, you can't go from 0 - 100% overnight, by the third night everyone was in the swing of things.
By the last night, no one wanted to get off. A fabulous band was in the main foyer and got the ship in a real party mood. Again with protocols, no dancing, but you can stand and wave your arms around and have a great time.
I wasn't able to go on any tours, as they had to be Celebrity organised, which is manageable for able bodied passengers. Those such as myself who wanted to go and see the Belfast Experience needed a powerchair accessible tour, I was quoted £700.00 per person for me and my Husband. So I did not leave the ship, I did something I hadn't done before, I relaxed on my own, and bumped into a few people I'd met, had a chat, they helped me out with getting a drink or a blanket (UK in July).
This was the safest I had felt in over a year.
