This was our first P&O cruise, and our last. The whole voyage was a shambles - where to begin? The dining arrangements were dreadful: huge queues every meal, lengthy waits to be served and food tepid when it came. The waiters were totally unhelpful about allergies too. We were onboard for Christmas, but the ship was barely decorated: only in the lobby had any real effort been made. The ship is not adequate for cold weather, and there were burst pipes much in evidence in corridors and bars, with buckets catching the drips. The towels were changed once a day, and the beds made, but that was it - the cabins weren't actually cleaned at all while we were on board[and judging by the state of the rubbish bins, they hadn't been cleaned properly beforehand either.] It wasn't surprising that Norovirus was rampaging around the ship. To top it all, the laundry lost my husband's best dress shirt. The Purser's desk were totally unhelpful about this on board, and my efforts to get P&O to respond since have been futile. Totally the worst voyage I have ever been on - the worst holiday of any kind, actually.
