Iona, Mediterranean

Iona is a huge ship so it takes some time to get used to being with up to 5,000 other guests.
The weather was excellent for January/February which helped to make the stops at seven ports extremely pleasant. The food on board was very good and dining arrangements trouble free.
The entertainment on board was variable - the singers were not all adapted to the typical age of the guests. Also, the acoustics in the glass dome make it hard work for any singer to be heard with any clarity. But Sam Bailey was exceptionally good.
The P&O app which was meant to be used to book events was problematic - even the staff seemed to struggle to use it effectively.
Embarkation and disembarkation worked smoothly.
The staff were friendly and generally efficient.
