Regal Princess, Mediterranean

1

Being a platinum member of Princess I expected our cruise to be a lovely experience as usual. Unfortunately this was not true. The ding room which we usually have a table with the same people & waiters, we had to queue up every evening & wait for a table for up to 3/4 hour. We had different waiters every night. Then on the fifth day of our cruise we were tested for Covid & my husband was found positive, so he was moved to an inferior cabin via the crew areas & we were split up. It was our 51st anniversary & we were very upset at this, also I was restricted to my cabin as well. We were not allowed anywhere else. Four days later I was tested positive & dragged down to my husbands cabin. The beds were very uncomfortable
& we had to phone down for meals which took 3/4 hour to get through then another 3/4 hour to be served, which was left at the cabin door, after staying put for the rest of our trip we were not allowed to leave the ship until after 10am & as our flight left at 11am we missed it. We were once again dragged round the crew quarters to leave the ship & put at the back of the terminal, where we were supposed to get a taxi. We didn’t because the taxi rank closed just after we got there & we had to drag all our luggage around the road until we could find a taxi going past. We had to pay for our trip to the airport & then tried to get a flight home which was only possible on line. We couldn’t get a flight with the airline we were originally booked with so we had to pay again for a flight to London. We live about 130 miles from Glasgow so upon getting to London we had to try & book a flight to Glasgow. We couldn’t get a flight for 2 days & so tried to book a hotel by the airport but ended up having to pay for a taxi to Windsor for a hotel. After trying to book a flight on line we finally managed three days later. We had to pay another taxi to the airport. So far we have had no contact at all with Princess they have ignored all our calls, letters etc & all we have had back is the prepaid money for the trips we had booked. To say we are disgusted just doesn’t cover it & we will never travel with Princess again.
