Firstly, I would like to emphasize that I am not normally a whinger. However, I have been cruising for a number of years using various shipping lines and I can genuinely say that my most recent adventure into the unknown one was the worst cruise I have ever been on. Without exception, each day the food, although it looked tempting enough, was not hot enough, despite my complaints to the ship's catering staff. For the first time ever, on occasions, we (a family group of six), even had to clear our own plates away from the table after eating because there was not enough staff to do so. That happened more than once. There was a definite air of disinterest. The shore excursions can only be described as being utterly abysmal, the ship often 'parking up' miles away from anywhere and often there was no linking transport organized for people to go into towns or wherever it was that we landed. Our very last port of call was dreadful and made even Grimsby Docks look attractive. Very disappointed with 'Celebrity Cruises' and would definitely not use them ever again. A complete waste of an awful lot of money and needless to say a great disappointment. We should have stayed with our normal cruise line, Royal Caribbean. Lesson learned. T C
