This was my first cruise and my friend and I had fun. The port days were nice, but I'd like to focus more on the ship itself.
The Infinite Veranda room was great; we were on deck seven and loved our "balcony". The room was clean and pleasant. The beds were comfortable, the lights and climate were easy to control, and there were loads of clever design features to save space and provide ample storage.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The captain made amusing announcements, the room attendant was kind and helpful, and everyone was welcoming.
The ship had nifty features; I especially liked the pool on the deck. Some of the ship, such as the lower exteriors of the outdoor hot tubs, need maintenance as they look grubby and old from sunbleaching. Despite that appearance, the ship was very clean.
The extras, such as excursions and services, were very expensive and the food was good, but not great. We ate in one of the main dining rooms on one occasion and then ate at the Oceanview Cafe exclusively, as my main at the Cosmopolitan was really bad. We liked having more choices at the buffet anyway. The poached eggs and cut up fruit in the cafe were very nice amd served up by kind staff.
Another amenity that I enjoyed was room service, who brought us coffee each morning.
We went to a comedy even which was fun and there were silent discos, a casino, parties, cocktail bars, theatre shows, and more. I would have liked to go to one of the game shows - next time!
