Naha is the capital of Okinawa Prefecture, the tropical island group south of mainland Japan. It's known for Shuri Castle, the restored royal palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which flourished from the 1400s–1800s and invented the martial art karate. Tsuboya district is assocated with traditional ceramics like shiisa (lion-dog figures). Lined with shops, bars and restaurants, Kokusaidori is Naha's main street.

Ishigaki Island is the commercial hub of the Yaeyama Islands, in Japan’s southwestern Okinawa Prefecture. It's known for beaches and sites for snorkeling, diving and surfing. Within Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park lies the Shiraho Reef's rare blue coral. In the interior is Mt. Omoto and other peaks. On the northern Hirakubo Peninsula is the Fukido River, a mangrove forest habitat.

Keelung is a fascinating city full of ancient forts and temples, colorful photo spots, and beautiful scenery. Located at the northernmost tip of Taiwan, Keelung is one of the largest port cities on the island. The city has a long and interesting history dating back to the 17th century.

Kagoshima, Japan
Kagoshima is very famous for its history, with the Satsuma Clan. And Kagoshima is also well known for the island of Yakushima, found just south of Kagoshima. The island is green and lush, and parts of the island were named a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. Yakushima is also home to Japan's oldest living trees. Kagoshima city is the largest city in Kagoshima prefecture and praised as a sister city of Naples in Italy. However, pizza and pasta are not the staples served in Kagoshima’s café, instead, there are lots of traditional foods there such as “ (a kind of cake made with yams)”, “ (raw chicken)” and “Kabayaki(smoked eel)” and so on!

Miyazaki Prefecture is known for its many beautiful, nature areas, perfect for hiking or going for a short walk. However, Miyazaki is also well known for their many gorgeous and majestic historical buildings such as the shrines and castles.

Kochi, Japan
Kochi, located in Japan's Shikoku Island, is famous for scenic nature and delicious skipjack tuna as well as for its yuzu production. Kochi also boasts a rich history with one of Japan's most famous samurai, Ryoma Sakamoto, being born in here. Prior to the Meiji Restoration, Kochi was known as the Tosa Province. Kochi port is known as the 'Queen of Arabian Sea' as it was an important trade center for species on the western coast of India from the 14th century. Occupied by the Portuguese Empire in 1503, Kochi was the first of the European colonies in colonial India.

Kobe, Japan
This is the point of origin and namesake of Kobe beef as well as the site of one of Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, Arima Onsen. In 1995 the Great Hanshin Earthquake diminished much of Kobe's prominence as a port city.

Shimizu, Japan
Sprawling, semi-rural Shimizu Ward is dominated by forested coastal mountains, with hiking trails and ropeway rides to dramatic viewpoints above Suruga Bay. Miho Beach Park is popular for swimming and water sports in summer, and there are baseball and soccer fields nearby, plus an aquarium at the Marine Science Center. Busy fisheries supply sushi bars and seafood markets with local specialties like sakura shrimp.
