There are a number of excellent restaurants, bars and shops to be found overlooking the beach along the main palm tree lined beach promenade. La Galleria Mall has some top name brands and upmarket stores for air conditioned comfort. While the main shopping street is Las Olas Boulevard the of Fort Lauderdale. Visit the evening dining and entertainment area called overlooking the canals and waterways. You will also find Sawgrass Mills - a huge factory outlet shopping mall - the biggest in Florida. Close by is the Everglades for exhilarating airboat rides.

Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos
About a quarter mile from the western beaches at Grand Turk, the sea floor drops 7,000 feet right down into dark blue. Just at the edge of the drop-off, there's a reef pocked with arches, turrets, and tunnels called the Grand Turk Wall. The reef is a haven for fish, and with its clear water, for divers, too. Grand Turk is also fringed with amazing white sandy beaches making it a beach-lovers paradise.

Willemstad, Curacao
This volcanic island is sandwiched in between Bonaire and Aruba and is lies in the far South of the Caribbean just 40 miles off the coast of Venezuela. The capital Willemstad is a cosy Dutch haven with its neat row houses which are 17th and 18th century Dutch colonial buildings. Visit the Hato Caves formed from coral reefs, the freshwater waterfall and Shete Boka National Park with its limestone tidal cavern. The Ostrich Farm is the largest outside of Africa where you can feed the birds and watch the Ostrich dance. Best souvenir buys areDelft pottery and of course the Sapphire Blue Liqueur –Curacao.

Cartagena, Columbia
Cartagena is a modern port city on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. At its core is the walled Old Town, with 16th-century plazas, cobblestone streets and colorful colonial buildings. With a tropical climate, the city is a popular beach destination. Reachable by boat are the nearby shores of Isla de Barú and Islas del Rosario, known for their coral reefs and scuba diving.

Panama Canal - Full Transit
One of the seven wonders of the world linking the Caribbean to the Pacific Ocean by a series of locks taking huge ships across the Central America via the Gatun Lake. A must do journey on anyone's bucket list the ship squeezes through narrow canals seemingly floating across dry land. A Journey through the Panama Canal is achieved by the ship rising up and down through huge locks between the Caribbean & the Pacific Ocean; and crossing the Gatun Lake in the middle of central America. The locks are split into three sets and incorporate two independent lanes for two way traffic. The set that carries the ship between the Caribbean Sea and the Gatun Lake comprises of three stepped tiers. The journey from the Gatun Lake to the Pacific Ocean is split into two separate sets of locks. The Miraflores locks has two stepped tiers and the final set which reaches the Pacific Ocean is a single stepped tier known as the Pedro Miguel lock.

Puntarenas, Costa Rica
The coast line of Puntarenas is full of islands, inlets, beaches, and very beautiful natural treasures, all which make it an excellent port of call. There is a multitude of attractions based around the beaches and around its islands. The primary attractions are the Monteverde Biological Reserve and tropical waterfalls. Visit “Pura Vida” garden in the Carara National Park. The waterfall is one of the highest in the country, reaching some 650 ft. There are also colourful gardens, trails, and pools for swimming in this area. The Montezuma Waterfall is a 20-minute walk outside of the city; this waterfall is some 65ft. high with a refreshing pool surrounded by lush vegetation. The Cocalito Waterfall is located on the far northeast end of Playa Cocalito. It is 40ft. high with a pool at the bottom for swimming and enjoying the lush vegetation and stunning ocean views. Take the tourist walk from the cruise ship terminal located along the main beach in Puntarenas. There are many little kiosks, and places to purchase local arts and crafts as well as traditional fruit salad and frozen drinks known as “Churchills.”

Huatulco, Mexico
The Pacific Ocean laps the shores of Huatulco's 36 stunning beaches, spread across nine bays boasting warm waters and golden sands. This area was a successful commercial port and favourite haunt of pirates and Elizabethan navigators such as Sir Francis Drake in 1578 and Sir Thomas Cavendish in 1587. Located on the coast of the state of Oaxaca at the edge of the Sierra Madre mountains, Huatulco spans 20 miles of Mexico’s Pacific coastline, between the Coyula and Copalita rivers. The Bahias de Huatulco (bays of Huatulco) National Park is a protected reserve with a world-class tourism infrastructure of luxury hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, discos, and golf courses and a small urban zone called La Crucecita. Be sure to take a trip around Huatulco's nine bays on a motorboat partially covered by an awning, an affordable excursion easily arranged by local operators. Perhaps take a three-hour motor boat tour of the stunning surroundings, hidden beaches, flora and fauna - providing inspiration to transport you back in time to a mythical and adventurous era.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
This wonderful beach destination is surrounded by the impressive mountains of the Sierra Madre and the sparkling waters of Banderas Bay. Los Muertos beach is located next to the Old Town and is a wonderful place to watch the sun set. Here you will a variety of restaurants, bars, galleries, boutiques and souvenir shops. Las Gemelas are a pair of small beaches distinguished by their fine white sand, clear blue water and gentle onshore waves ideal for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, walking and sunbathing under a cluster of palm trees. Perhaps climb the rocks that divide the beaches and wade through the rock pools to spot crabs and minnows. Conchas Chinas is a pristine white sand beach nestled between the lush green mountains and aquamarine ocean. Here you will be able to peer into the depths and see the wide variety of fish and sea life to be found. Los Arcos National Marine Park is situated next to Las Gemelas where there are further opportunities to boat, snorkel, or Scuba dive through the deep tunnels, caves, colorful reefs and arches of these amazing islands.
