Lisbon to Copenhagen
We leave behind the pastries and panoramas of Portugal’s capital, Lisbon, for Leixões, to enjoy a drop of the local port wine. A day at sea brings us to Spain and the elegant city of Santander, framed by mountains and beaches, then we cross into French waters, calling at St Jean de Luz to visit the church where Louis XIV married the Infanta Maria Theresa of Spain in 1660. Next, we spend three days in Bordeaux to explore its culture, food, architecture, and, of course, legendary wines. Another sea day takes us to England’s shores, calling at the Isle of Portland off Weymouth, and then Southampton, for maritime heritage. Next comes the Belgian seaside town of Zeebrugge; vibrant Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second-largest city with a tasty food scene; and Hamburg, where you can enjoy two days discovering its museums, architecture and cool cafés. Another day at sea brings a chance to enjoy our onboard spa and restaurants before we arrive in Oslo, the Norwegian capital. Finally, we come to the fairytale city of Copenhagen, with its historic palaces, castles, and churches.
