Uniworld’s new itinerary down the Ganges, India’s Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges, travels from New Delhi to Kolkata and will commence in January 2016, complementing the existing Asia programme which features itineraries in China, Vietnam and Cambodia. This 13-day river cruise and journey comprises five nights onshore at three Oberoi Hotels & Resorts properties in New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur before flying to Kolkata where guests embark on a seven-night cruise on-board the new 56-passenger, all-suite Ganges Voyager II.
The 56 metre (185 ft) long Ganges Voyager II features 23 Colonial and Signature Suites (261 sq ft), two Heritage Suites (280 sq ft), two Viceroy Suites (360 sq ft) and one Maharaja Suite (400 sq ft). The décor has been inspired by the grace and elegance of the British colonial period.
All suites have a sitting area, a French balcony with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a flat-screen television, bottled water replenished daily, and an iPhone docking station. Bathrooms comes with a rain shower, robes and slippers, and Molten Brown bath products.
Complimentary on-board amenities include flowers and fruit basket in the cabin upon arrival, fine dining in the East India Restaurant, complimentary soft drinks, mineral water, tea, and coffee with all meals, Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the ship (where available), afternoon High Tea served daily in the Governor’s Lounge and coffee, tea, and snacks in the Governor’s Lounge 24 hours a day.
