Regent Seven Seas Cruises, voted the world’s #1 large-ship operator by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, will offer two World Cruise itineraries in 2009, becoming the first luxury cruise operator ever to offer two global winter cruises in the same year.

Regent’s World Cruise guests will travel in sybaritic style aboard the 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager and the 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Mariner. Seven Seas Voyager will embark on a 116-night January journey to the South Pacific, Orient, Arabia, the Mediterranean and Bermuda, while Seven Seas Mariner departs two weeks later for a 121-night sojourn to South America, French Polynesia, Australia, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Russia and Alaska.

Seven Seas Voyager’s 2009 Grand Circumnavigation World Cruise departs January 12 from Los Angeles with seven individual segments, each offering guests a choice of diverse Concierge Collection land adventures as well as enlightening onboard lecture programs and activities.

  • Los Angeles to Auckland (20 nights, January 12 to February 1
  • Auckland to Sydney (12 nights, February 1 to February 13)
  • Sydney to Shanghai (21 nights, February 13 to March 6)
  • Shanghai to Singapore (12 nights, March 6 to March 18)
  • Singapore to Dubai (14 nights, March 18 to April 1)
  • Dubai to Istanbul (17 nights, April 1 to April 18)
  • Istanbul to Fort Lauderdale (20 nights, April 18 to May 8)

For a dramatic beginning to their adventure, guests may combine Seven Seas Voyager’s World Cruise with a 15-night Panama Canal sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles (December 29, 2008 to January 12, 2009) for a 131-night voyage. Travelers explore pristine Costa Rica, tropical Colombia, and the magnificent Panama Canal, followed by three stops in Mexico before the journey ends in Los Angeles.
