Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ 2008 Circles of InterestSM Provide Enrichment Programs Based on Special Interests
Regent Seven Seas Cruises, voted the world’s #1 large-ship operator by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, is announcing its Circles of Interest enrichment program for 2008. Circles of Interest offer Regent Seven Seas Cruises guests exclusive onboard and shore-side experiences, featuring world-class lecturers, instructors and authorities from the realms of art, cuisine, history, environmental conservation, photography and wellness.
Circles of Interest voyages will be offered throughout 2008 aboard the 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony ships Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager, the 490-guest, all-suite Seven Seas Navigator and the 330-guest luxury vessel Paul Gauguin. These sought-after journeys offer rare opportunities to discover destinations through the lens of a particular interest. The voyages also feature the insight and perspective of knowledgeable hosts, plus the camaraderie of an intimate community of guests who share similar interests. These in-depth programs will be available on 45 departures between January 16 and December 27, 2008, at rates ranging from $165 to $455 per person, exclusive of cruise fare.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ 2008 Circles of Interest itineraries encompass a broad range of topics. For example, highly regarded nutritional counselor and life-extension specialist Dr. Oz Garcia will lead “Wellness and Balance with Oz Garcia” aboard two Seven Seas Voyager summer Mediterranean cruises. Commodore Jamie Miller, the United Kingdom’s Naval Regional Commander for Wales & Western England and a survivor of the sinking of the HMS Coventry during the Falklands War, will share personal stories of his adventures in the Falklands and around the world during a winter sailing to South America aboard Seven Seas Mariner.
Thanks to a well-established partnership with renowned culinary institute Le Cordon Bleu®, the line offers exclusive food and wine programs and workshops. In addition, celebrity chefs including Walter Scheib, the White House executive chef from 1994 to 2005, will share their world-class culinary skills with guests during summer Mediterranean voyages. Regent’s partnership with Jean-Michel Cousteau and his Ocean Futures Society drives unique educational programs for young guests through Ambassadors of the Environment programs in Alaska and Tahiti. Special art and photography Circles of Interest complete the program.
