P&O Cruises has revealed new Caribbean fly-cruises itineraries on Britannia with the option to board in St Lucia during winter 2016/2017.
A total of 28 Caribbean cruises have been planned with guests boarding in St Lucia or Barbados. Britannia‘s first sailing from St Lucia will be on 12 November 2016 and will be a seven-night cruise that will call at Dominica, Antigua, St Maarten and Barbados. St Lucia itineraries are available from November 2016 to March 2017.
The fly-cruise package includes return transatlantic flights and overseas transfers.
A range of seven and 14-night winter sun itineraries have gone on sale today. It is also the first time that P&O Cruises has offered a seven-night Caribbean cruise option. These new week-long itineraries will appeal to those wishing to escape the cold British weather but who don’t have the time for a longer voyage.
P&O Cruises marketing director, Christopher Edgington, said: “We are excited to extend Britannia‘s 2016/17 Caribbean programme to offer guests even more choice. Introducing new itineraries which all depart or return St Lucia will offer a new dimension to our Caribbean cruises. St Lucia is a popular destination with passengers and no other cruise line has it as a home port, so we are looking to make the most of this by offering an exciting range of shore excursions to maximise the time there.”
Highlights of the new St Lucia itineraries include:
- A seven-night Caribbean cruise departing on selected dates from St Lucia and calling at Dominica, Antigua and St Maarten before ending in Barbados.
- A seven-night Caribbean cruise departing 10 December 2016 from St Lucia and visiting St Thomas, San Juan and St Maarten before ending in Barbados. This can be extended to a 14-night back-to-back round-trip cruise departing St Lucia and calling at St Thomas, San Juan, St Maarten, Barbados (two full days in port), Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and St Vincent.
- A 14-night round-trip Caribbean cruise departing on selected dates from St Lucia and visiting Dominica, Antigua, St Maarten, Barbados (two full days in port), Curacao, Aruba, Grenada and St Vincent.
Britannia will sail her inaugural transatlantic voyage to spend her first winter in the Caribbean on 23 October 2015. She shall return to Southampton following a 14-night transatlantic sailing departing Barbados on 11 March 2016.
