MSC Cruises to offer fly-cruise sailings from Abu Dhabi for winter 2015/2016
MSC Cruises has demonstrated continued commitment to the Middle East by adding fly-cruise sailings from Abu Dhabi for its upcoming winter season. MSC Cruises has demonstrated continued commitment to the Middle East by adding fly-cruise sailings from Abu Dhabi for its upcoming winter season.
Between December 2015 and March 2016, the cruise line will offer 16 week-long UAE sailings aboard the 2,550-passenger MSC Musica. Guests will have the choice to board and sail from either Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Flights from London Gatwick and Glasgow to Dubai will be served by Emirates while Etihad Airways will fly passengers from London Heathrow, Manchester and Dublin to Abu Dhabi.
MSC Cruises executive director UK and Ireland Giles Hawke said “the new partnership with Etihad Airways was great news since it offers UK cruisers the chance to travel at the weekend – cutting the time they would have to take off from work to just five days. Our Dubai, Emirates and Oman itinerary has proved to be immensely popular with since it began in 2011 – the spectacular scenery, amazing modern cities and guaranteed sunshine are the perfect tonic for British guests wanting to escape the cold weather at home.”.
The week-long itinerary from Abu Dhabi will call at Khor Al Fakkan; Muscat, Oman; and Khasab, Oman. The itinerary will also include an overnight call at Dubai, United Arab Emirates, meaning that guests will have the opportunity to make the most of their time in port.
Prices start from £749 per person including return flights with Emirates (to Dubai) or Etihad Airways (to Abu Dhabi) and overseas transfers, based on two sharing an inside cabin on the 12 December 2015 departure (or 13 December 2015 departure from Abu Dhabi).
For the winter 2016/2017 season MSC Cruises will be offering embarkation options at both Dubai and Abu Dhabi for cruises on-board the 3,274-guest MSC Fantasia. The new itinerary, which can be found in the MSC Cruises 2016-2017 brochure, will also include Bahrain for the first time.
