Inside Windstar Cruises' Revamped Star Breeze, Part of $250 Million Star Plus Initiative
Fresh from her renovation, Star Breeze is shining brighter than ever...
When a cruise ship has ‘star’ in her name, one can only hope that she lives up to expectations. Fortunately, Windstar Cruises’ Star Breeze does just that.
Carrying just 312 guests in spacious surroundings, she’s fresh from a complete renovation under the cruise line’s $250 million Star Plus Initiative, with new public areas including a spa, infinity pool and fitness area, as well as new bathrooms in every suite.
But the ship’s greatest attraction in the current climate is that her compact size allows access to exclusive small ports that larger ships can’t reach – places such as Le Lavandou on the Côte d’Azur, and Wrangell, Alaska – offering a more intimate cruising experience without the crowds.

Entertainment
Sultry bar Compass Rose is the place to catch acoustic duos and musicians after dinner, and the stylish main lounge (above) also hosts performances. Cruises include a deck barbecue with music, and a watersports platform allows access to sea toys throughout the day.
Cabins
All 156 cabins are suites, from the elegant Balcony (above) and Ocean View grades to the grand Owner’s Suites, which are more like villas at sea. All feature modern interiors with a mini bar, L’Occitane toiletries, fresh flowers, walk-in wardrobes and a full-sized bathtub.
Pools
Star Breeze now boasts an inviting infinity pool aft on Deck 7 (above), which offers unrivalled views of the ocean. There are also two whirlpools, along with an onboard marina with complimentary watersports, including windsurfing, board sailing and water-skiing.
