Fashion designer Thomas Rath launches fashion2sea on-board EUROPA 2

Fashion lovers and trend-setters will be in their element on the fashion2sea themed cruises announced for the 2015 season on-board EUROPA 2.
As part of the programme guests on selected voyages can discover the latest looks and accessories from the world of fashion, style and beauty. The well-known German fashion entrepreneur and designer Thomas Rath will be on-board EUROPA 2 to assist with the fashion2sea programme this year on a Mediterranean cruise in August and a South African cruise in December. Based in Düsseldorf Thomas Rath has worked as a designer at famous fashion brands including Windsor, Jil Sander and Mulberry.
Thomas Rath said “There is little that inspires me to work on my new collections more than travelling. To discover new places, dive into foreign cultures and keep an eye out for the latest trends – these are all extremely stimulating experiences for me. I am really looking forward to taking to sea twice in 2015 on the EUROPA 2.”
The Hamburg-based star hairdresser and stylist Jörg Oppermann and the plastic and aesthetic surgeon Dr. Timo A. Spanholtz will also on-board.
As part of the programme there will be an exclusive Thomas Rath boutique in one of the suites, fashion shows with passengers and crew, and make-up workshops on-board. Selected fashion-themed shore excursions will also be offered.
Thomas Rath will be on-board the 15 August itinerary which sees EUROPA 2 sail from Barcelona (Spain) to Civitavecchia (for Rome, Italy), calling at Calvi (Corsica), St. Tropez and Port Grimaud (France), Monte Carlo (Monaco), Portofino (Italy), and Viareggio (Italy). Prices start from €3,890 (approximately £3,310) per person on a cruise-only basis.
He will also be on-board the 5 December itinerary which sees EUROPA 2 sail from Port Louis (Mauritius) to Cape Town (South Africa), calling at Reunion (France), Taolanaro (Madagascar), Maputo and Ilha dos Portugueses(Mozambique), Richard’s Bay (South Africa), Durban (South Africa), and Port Elizabeth (South Africa). Prices start from €6,990 (approximately £5,950) per person on a cruise-only basis.
