Norwegian Cruise Line will soon change its entertainment line-up on Norwegian Escape, just months after the ship visited Southampton and was christened in Miami by Pitbull.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet will close on 5 March. The musical was inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first – and only – time. The show includes performances of the hits “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Great Balls of Fire,” and “Walk the Line.”

On 15 May the show will re-open on Norwegian Getaway, replacing Legally Blonde which will close on 30 April. Burn The Floor will continue as currently scheduled.

Formerly a Supper Club dinner show, For the Record: The Brat Pack will become a complimentary show in the Escape Theater as of 16 April. The show celebrates classic soundtracks of motion picture masters where guests spend an evening with a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal in a mashed-up retrospective of the John Hughes’ coming of age 1980’s teen films.

As of 9 April, The Supper Club will feature a new dinner show although the cruise line has not yet revealed details of what this show will be.

Between 5 March and 16 April the Escape Theater will host Vocal Over Drive, a contemporary pop acapella group that has toured internationally. Between 1 May and 15 May the group will sail on Norwegian Getaway, performing in the Getaway Theater.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway hit After Midnight featuring Brenda Braxton will continue in The Escape Theater as regularly scheduled.

Richard Ambrose, Vice-President of Entertainment for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, said: “Norwegian is leading the way in providing engaging, enjoyable and exciting entertainment for guests across our fleet. These updates to our entertainment offerings will ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry, providing the very best contemporary, award-winning entertainment for our guests.”
