Celebrity Cruises has announced that Celebrity Eclipse will return to Southampton in April 2017 for its seventh consecutive season of Mediterranean and Northern Europe cruises.
The ship first sailed from Southampton in 2010 and Celebrity Cruises has continued to return the vessel to the city each year to sail during the late spring, summer and autumn months.
Highlights of the 2017 season include a Signature Event Sailing featuring the Roland-Garros French Open tennis tournament, more overnight stays in more destinations, and new ports of call.
In 2017 Celebrity Eclipse will sail to Scandinavia and Russia, and will call at the walled Danish city of Frederica. Cruises to Iceland will include an overnight stay in Reykjavik. The ship will also sail to destinations in the Canary Islands, the Azores, and the Mediterranean.
The itineraries in the 2017 European programme feature more overnight stays in destinations than in previous years. Celebrity Eclipse shall remain in port overnight in destinations including St. Petersburg, Copenhagen, Reykjavik, Lisbon, Portugal and Funchal, Madeira, allowing guests to experience the local night-life.
A 10-night Spain and Canaries cruise departing Southampton, with an overnight stay in Funchal, Madeira and calls to Tenerife and La Coruna, Spain, starts from £1,799 per person based on two sharing a Concierge Class cabin.
Celebrity Eclipse was refurbished this year where new bars and restaurants were added. The Luminae restaurant was added exclusively for guests staying in Suite Class accommodation. The ship boasts a Canyon Ranch spa; a real grass lawn on the top deck for picnics, concerts and more; private balconies on 85 percent of staterooms, boutiques from designer brands such as Michael Kors; an iLounge with Apple Specialists at Sea and more.
As of January 2016 the benefits of booking a suite on Celebrity Cruises’ ships will be enhanced, with top suite residents receiving a bottle of Perrier-Jouët champagne on embarkation day.
