Why choose AE Expeditions
AE Expeditions are known for their desirable array of itineraries, which encourage guests to find a connection and love to the natural world around the world around them – as well as to learn something new about some of the lesser-known areas around the globe.
This is done via the two small ship expedition vessels, named the Greg Mortimer and Sylvia Earle.
Both ships feature a revolutionary Ulstein X-Bow, which ensures the ships are stable as they navigate rough waters as well as enhancing the vessels’ speed – therefore reducing fuel emissions.
Not to mention, onboard guests can utilise the knowledge of regional experts and guests with endless credentials in history and culture, marine biology, conservation and climate change lead adventurous excursions and exhilarating activities.
Beyond this, both ships are spacious with modern lecture theatres, two ocean-view jacuzzis and more…
Guests can enjoy extraordinary 360-degree views from vast floor-to-ceiling windows and the multiple observation decks providing a spectrum of excellent vantage points.
The choice of cabin is expansive, each decorated in tasteful neutral colour schemes and featuring twin or double beds and private ensuite bathrooms. Passengers can opt for a room with an exclusive private balcony for a small extra fee.
Travellers with AE are treated to complimentary shore excursions, delicious daily meals, engaging onboard lecture programmes from expert speakers and unlimited use of expedition gear such as polar jackets and muck boots.
AE Expeditions cruises are designed to be both educational and explorative experiences.
The company’s aim is to inspire small groups of travellers to develop an interest in and protect remote regions and to take them on unforgettable and thrilling voyages of discovery.
Guests are encouraged to expand their knowledge on the history, culture and natural landscapes of their cruise destinations by attending on board specialist lectures and embarking on enriching excursions.
Adrenalin-seekers can satisfy their thirst for adventure on AE’s ships by engaging in water- and land-based activities such as sea kayaking, camping, snowshoeing, snowboarding and skiing, scuba diving, snorkelling and rock climbing.
AE’s staff and crew offer a friendly hospitable service; travellers are instantly made to feel welcome on AE Expeditions as they begin and end their journeys with the Captain’s Welcome and Farewell event which includes a complimentary four-course dinner and house beverages.
The cruise line prides itself on its commitment to eco-tourism, sourcing all onboard seafood sustainably, replacing single-use plastic with renewable alternatives and providing coral-safe suncream and eco-friendly cleaning products.
