The ultra-luxury cruise line has released details of its 2026 summer itineraries including two new solar eclipse cruises exploring Northern Europe and the Mediterranean

Seabourn’s Summer and Autumn 2026 voyages ‘eclipse’ all others with four intimate boutique hotels at sea – Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Sojourn, Seabourn Quest, Seabourn Encore – deployed to over 200 destinations in almost 40 countries on over 50 distinctive itineraries.

Standouts include two sailings that will feature a chance to view the total solar eclipse – when the moon passes between Earth and the sun to create this rare phenomenon – which is occurring on August 12, 2026.

Seabourn Ovation will sail on a 14-day West Ireland Gems & Solar Eclipse between Dover and Reykjavik, hosting a special Seabourn Conversations programme featuring Jane A Green, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Elsewhere, Seabourn Sojourn will sail roundtrip from Barcelona on a 10-day Spanish Gems & Solar Eclipse, including calls along Spain’s scenic southern coast as well as a call to Melilla in Spanish Morocco. Dallas Campbell, a Science presenter, author, and broadcaster will be onboard to educate guests about the solar eclipse.

Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn, said: “The viewing of the solar eclipse from our ultra-luxury ships will be an unforgettable ‘Seabourn Moment’ for everyone.

“Our team has curated eclipse-themed Seabourn Conversations and experiences, turning this celestial event into an extraordinary celebration.”

European discoveries
The 458-guest passenger Seabourn Quest and Seabourn Sojourn will sail in the Mediterranean from May to November 2026 from homeports including Monte Carlo, Rome, Dubrovnik, Venice, Istanbul, and Athens. Itineraries explore the length and breadth of the Mediterranean, from the Balearics to the Bay of Naples; the Ionian Sea to the Adriatic and Dalmatian Coasts; and from the Aegean to the Sea of Marmara.

Complimentary signature events range from a classical concert set amid the ancient ruins of Ephesus to a ‘Shopping with the chef’ excursion where guests visit regional markets with an onboard chef to discover how the freshest ingredients are selected.

Meanwhile, Seabourn Ovation will sail to the British Isles, Iceland, and the majestic Norwegian Fjords including convenient no-fly roundtrip Dover sailings, as well as departures from Copenhagen, Greenock, and Reykjavik. The line’s small ships are undoubtedly the best way to experience the region’s rich tapestry of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Another special voyage onboard Seabourn Ovation is her 22-Day Fire & Ice Passage from Iceland via Greenland and Atlantic Canada to reach New York City in time for the fall foliage.

Extraordinary Alaska
Pristine waterways are nature’s canvas for calving glaciers, humpback whales, and towering forests as you sail with Seabourn in the wilderness state of Alaska.

Seabourn Encore will spend summer 2026 in Alaska for the very first time on signature 14-day itineraries. Departing from Vancouver, the sailings feature a team of experts that offer immersive Ventures by Seabourn excursions in select destinations – such as the Inian Islands and Rudyerd Bay – where kayaking and excursions by zodiac and catamaran may take place.

Seabourn Encore will sail on her first-ever season through Japan at the height of spring flowers and cherry blossom seasonal festivities before crossing the Pacific Ocean to Alaska for the summer. She’ll return just in time for guests to delight in Japan’s vibrant fall foliage, with maiden calls to Beppu, Hososhima (Miyazaki), Toba, and Maizuru in Japan, and Sokcho, South Korea.

Travellers can look forward to complimentary ‘Shopping with the chef’ opportunities in Hakodate, Kagoshima, Kushiro, and Nagasaki.

The ship will also traverse the North Pacific Ocean between Japan and Alaska in the spring and autumn on 18- and 21-day Pacific Passage voyages that touch both continents.
