Why Cruise & Stay with Marella Cruises?

On a Cruise & Stay package, you can add a stay at one of over 200 handpicked hotels at either the beginning or the end of your cruise.

And with five fabulous Marella ships to choose from – including adults-only and family-friendly options – you’ll be spoilt for choice.

You can even delight in a seven-night land-based holiday before boarding the ship or perhaps add on a three-night break post-cruise.

If you’re cruise-curious, this is the perfect way to try out a new type of holiday, without having to forgo the one you already know and love.

With a Cruise & Stay holiday, where you stay depends on where your cruise home port is. So, if your cruise is due to depart from Corfu Town, you can choose from a wide range of hotels in Corfu.

And wherever you stay, all your transfers are included. Result.

Where can you stay?

The soft sands of Majorca, Corfu and Tenerife are calling your name for a Cruise & Stay that’s close to home.

Or, if you’d rather venture further afield, the likes of Barbados and the Dominican Republic are popular choices for those seeking a tropical, and crucially warm, escape.

As for the hotels, you can choose from three categories of hotels. The first is TUI Blue, offering a selection of both adults-only and family-friendly modern getaways. Or if you’re feeling flush opt for Platinum – the crème-de-la-crème with ratings of four stars and above, and finally the third is ‘small & friendly’ which is a selection of authentic hotels run by local families.

Take the Platinum adults-only Hovima Costa Adeje hotel in Tenerife for example. This four-star hotel boasts a desirable location, being a mere three-minute walk away from a black-sand beach and boasting bars and restaurants on its doorstep. Not to mention the impressive infinity pool and a themed a la carte restaurant.

Or how about Turtle Beach Resort in St Lawrence, Barbados? With two outdoor pools and only a 10-minute stroll from the candy-coloured rum shacks of the St Lawrence Gap, this hotel is a winner. There’s also a wide range of water sports like windsurfing, sailing and snorkelling to populate the to-do list.

For Corfu, Kerkyra Blue Hotel and Spa is a five-star showstopper tucked away in 95 acres of lush garden as well as being right by a beach. This is well-suited for families as it has a kids’ splash pool and kids’ club as well as four dining venues to choose from to suit even the pickiest eaters.

Our picks for a Cruise & Stay holiday

Match the beautiful Kerkyra Blue Hotel and Spa with the ‘Adriatic Explorer’ itinerary for an unforgettable holiday.

This seven-night itinerary, departing May 2, 2025, takes place onboard Marella Explorer and is a round trip from Corfu Town, so you can opt to stay either before or after your cruise here.

Soak up the beauty of Corfu and explore golden beaches and colourful villages. Start by visiting Corfu’s most famous viewpoint at Bella Vista, where you can snap a picture of the island’s entire west coast. The 16th-century church, Saint Spyridon, is a must-see due to its Venetian architecture and bell tower that rises above the Old Town.

Another stand-out port is the medieval walled city of Kotor, Montenegro. As a cruise goer, you’ll soak up astounding scenery – think shining lakes and green mountains – as soon as you sail in. Delve inside the city walls and get lost in crooked streets and cobbled piazzas.

Or, if Turtle Beach Resort takes your fancy, pair this with the seven-night ‘Paradise Islands’ sailing onboard Marella Explorer. Departing December 14, 2025, calling at Dominica, Antigua, St Kitts, St Maarten and the British Virgin Islands.

As a round trip from Bridgetown, Barbados’ charismatic capital, you’ll visit the island of waterfalls: Dominica. Nature lovers can embark on a rainforest trek while beach enthusiasts can head for the dramatic volcanic sweeps of sand. Don’t miss the chance to river tube down Dominica’s biggest river, River Layou, to get up close and personal with the island’s scenery.

Lastly, and by no means least, laze the day away at Hovima Costa Adeje hotel in Tenerife after your ‘Atlantic Islands’ sailing with Marella Cruises.

This seven-night cruise, departing March 7, 2025, offers five ports of call for you to explore – Tenerife, La Palma, Madeira, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria.

You’ll depart from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a melting pot of church towers, mountain ranges, a bustling port area and an inviting old town. Before returning to Tenerife at the end of your cruise, you’ll sail to Santa Cruz de Las Palmas.

Here you can take a trip to impressive La Caldera de Taburiente National Park, which is actually a volcanic crater measuring around 28km in circumference.

Other highlights include Arrecife, Lanzarote, which offers up a sunshine-soaked coast and whitewashed villages – with the volcanic landscape of Timanfaya National Park being the jewel in the crown.
