Introducing Allura: An exciting inaugural season awaits the new Oceania Cruises’ ship
Representing a pinnacle of the Oceania Cruises experience, new ship Allura will launch with a spending inaugural season, visiting 92 destinations
Oceania Cruises’ unveiling of Allura is a ship launch worth booking early for. Currently in the yard, being kitted out to the nines, Allura will join her sister ships on the open ocean in summer 2025, with an inspirational premiere voyage from Athens.
The ship draws together all the facets of Oceania’s much-loved fleet of small-scale, high-comfort ships, with a few additional extras befitting of a brand-new flagship. And her launch season itinerary matches the impressive appeal of the ship itself, incorporating 92 destinations across 26 sailings, ranging from week-long getaways to a deeply revitalising 34-day transatlantic cruise.
A sneak peek at the latest and greatest for Oceania Cruises
Allura is the second Allura Class ship for Oceania Cruises, following her sister ship Vista. The ship – in common with other Oceania Cruises vessels – is beautifully appointed with calming colour schemes, opulent crystal ornaments, and those subtle touches of luxury that are so at home onboard they almost go unnoticed.
Allura is a light and bright ship with more space to relax and appreciate the moment. Sailing with just 1,200 guests, this ideal size ship enjoys a perfect balance between building a great atmosphere and the space and privacy to focus on yourself and escape from the everyday for a while.
Newly-launched restaurant, Ember, joins the popular line-up of onboard restaurants as the line continues to deliver on its promise to serve The Finest Cuisine At Sea®. From healthy and wellness-inspired to decadent and indulgent all served in gorgeous dining rooms, with spectacular views, every meal is a moment to remember.
And when you retire to your room, you’ll relax in a space which is noticeably roomier than the industry standard. In fact, a standard room onboard Allura (291 square feet, since you asked) is larger than what many other cruise lines pass for a junior suite.
Be the first to visit up to 92 destinations onboard Allura
Inaugural seasons are particularly exciting, not just to explore the shiny new floating palace, but for the celebrations that accompany a ship’s first arrival in each port. Often marked with an exchange of plaques and keys in a ceremony involving local dignitaries and the ship’s officers, a new ship is often welcomed to ports for the first visit with much excitement.
If you want to be on Allura’s very first cruise, then book the seven-day voyage from Athens to Istanbul, departing on June 8, 2025. You’ll visit the whitewashed Greek paradise of Santorini, island hop to Crete and Rhodes, and then cross borders and enjoy four Turkish ports, including Kusadasi, which is the maritime gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus.
Continuing her inaugural season, Allura’s second cruise spans the full width of the Mediterranean, from Istanbul to Barcelona, in 10 days. Adding new ports in Turkey, Greece, Italy, Monaco and Spain to her roster, this will be an exciting voyage of firsts for Allura, and a magnificent spread of Mediterranean highlights.
Back to Athens from Barcelona, Allura adds ports in Tunisia, Malta, Egypt and Israel to her headline grabbing inaugural season. This 12-day cruise departs on June 25, 2025 and features two days at sea for exploring the ship as well.
As her first season progresses through the height of summer, Allura continues to add interesting new ports to her collection of plaques, especially around the gorgeous shores of Italy and the sun-drenched islands of Greece.
As summer turns to autumn, a 34-day extravagansa takes you from Rome to New York for Allura’s first outing on the other side of the Atlantic. Showcasing 25 ports and touching three continents (Europe, Africa and North America), this is one of the most inspiring transatlantic itineraries out there – and a whole load of firsts for the luxurious new Allura.
For fans of American cruises, the tail end of 2025 brings a whole host of great options, including catching Canada and New England in the ‘fall’ or indulging in some classic Caribbean winter sun from Miami, departing on November 16, 2025.
